Ash came to us as a riding pony. She was the next size up for my daughter when she grew out of Lightening. We were promised the 'perfect riding pony' but Ash arrived to tell us something different. She was not going to be ridden. She is finding her independence and her confidence slowly and very protective of her space. She longs to feel loved and knows the love is all around her, she is just a little hesitant about trusting its depth. But the layers are slowly peeling away.
She is magical and beautiful.
In the picture to the left, she has her FULL winter coat on. She and the herd are lying in the school resting after 5 days of snow. The moment it started to melt, they showed their exhaustion and lay the whole day in the sunshine. Her coat is starting to shed in the picture above!
